Our Story

    In the heart of the city, two people with a shared passion for food and cooking are bringing a dream to life. Over 25 years ago, they bonded over their favorite recipes, blending flavors and techniques from their diverse backgrounds to create meals that delight and comfort.

    Chefs & owners- Ahmed (Gimi) from Cairo, Egypt and Jose (Vino) from San Luis Potosi, Mexico each bring their own unique culinary traditions and stories. One thing that has always united them is their love for creating and sharing delicious food. The joy they find in crafting these meals and seeing the smiles they bring could now be shared with a wider community, and so, Southport Taqueria was born.
